Canvas, Compose, and Scenes
Choose Canvas to turn media into living visuals, Compose to write music, or Scenes to edit a music video. Compose now includes eight tracks, a piano roll, sample import, repeatable song sections, automation, and consistent music exports. Scenes combines local audio, visual clips, titles, artwork, and video export.

Do I own the beats I create?
Your original Compose beat is yours to use. Eidolon claims no ownership over your beat project or exported files and charges no royalty. You may export, edit, publish, distribute, and commercially use original output created with the built-in synthesized voices, subject to applicable law.
If you later combine an export with outside samples, recordings, performances, or other protected material, you remain responsible for those rights. Eidolon does not guarantee copyright registration or copyrightability in every jurisdiction. See the complete Terms of Use.
Is Eidolon Compose free?
Yes. You can open the instrument and build a beat without creating an account or installing software.
Is this an AI beat generator?
Compose is a seeded generative sequencer, not a text-to-song service. Its generator creates an editable starting pattern from style, key, density, and seed choices. You can change every step, lock decisions, arrange patterns, and export the resulting work.
Does it use a sample pack?
No bundled third-party sample library is used. Kick, snare, clap, hat, bass, and synth voices are generated with browser-based synthesis and effects.
What can I control?
Compose includes up to sixteen patterns with 16, 32, or 64 steps; a 32-scene arrangement; velocity, chance, ratchets, timing nudge, pitch, and locks per step; and level, pan, tone, decay, mute, solo, and locks per voice. Tempo, swing, humanize, density, Drive, and Space shape the overall result.
What files can I export?
- A mix WAV for the current pattern or arrangement.
- A ZIP containing eight independent WAV stems.
- A Type 1 MIDI file with conductor and voice tracks.
- An editable
.eidolonbeatproject file.
Can I continue the beat in a DAW?
Yes. Use the MIDI export to replace sounds or continue arranging in a compatible DAW, or import the mix and stem WAV files into an audio project.
Does Eidolon upload my project or listen to my beat?
No. Working patterns, automatic recovery, and saved projects stay in local browser storage. Optional aggregate analytics loads only after consent and does not include beat names, pattern data, project files, or rendered audio. Feedback is sent only when you deliberately submit it.
Which browser should I use?
Current Chrome and Edge desktop versions offer the broadest Compose and export support. Firefox and Safari can run the core instrument and Compose, but available codecs and capture behavior vary by browser and operating system.
How do I start?
Open Eidolon and choose Make music. Generate a starting rhythm or place steps manually, choose a visual world, then save locally or export when the sketch is ready.
