Eidolon is an audiovisual music tool and browser-based beat maker built for people who hear shapes, see rhythm, and want a creative instrument that responds in more than one medium.
Eidolon begins with a simple idea: music does not have to stop at the edge of sound. A rhythm can become geometry. A transient can become a flash of light. A photograph can suggest a palette and an imagined soundscape. Live audio can move through a visual world as it happens. Instead of treating audio and visuals as separate production stages, Eidolon lets them influence one another from the first creative gesture.
What can you make with Eidolon?
You can build an original beat in Eidolon Compose, open an audio or video file, use an image as a deterministic creative seed, or connect a supported live input such as a microphone, camera, or captured browser tab. Eidolon reads musical and visual characteristics—including frequency energy, transients, motion, luminance, color, and scene changes—and translates them into six responsive generative worlds.
Compose beats
Sketch rhythms across eight synthesized or sampled voices, up to sixteen patterns, and arrangements up to 32 scenes. Shape velocity, probability, ratchets, timing, pitch, tone, decay, space, and drive.
Interpret media
Transform audio, video, or images into living visual studies. Move among Celestial, Organic, Ritual, Tempest, Prismatic, and Void without replacing the source.
Perform live
Use supported microphone, camera, MIDI, tab, or system-audio input to make the visual field respond in real time. Journey mode can travel automatically between worlds.
Export artifacts
Carry the work beyond the browser as still images, loops, recordings, WAV mixes, separate WAV stems, MIDI files, editable beat projects, and media-free Vision recipes.
A visual music instrument, not an automatic verdict
Eidolon does not claim to reveal the hidden meaning of a song, image, or performance. Its interpretations are creative responses: repeatable where a seed matters, expressive where movement matters, and always open to your adjustment. The instrument offers a starting structure while leaving authorship with the person shaping the result.
That distinction matters. Creative software is most useful when it expands attention rather than replacing judgment. Eidolon makes analysis visible enough to play with, then gives you controls for palette, geometry, motion, trails, sensitivity, intensity, frequency focus, world selection, and export framing. The point is not to receive an answer. The point is to discover a form you would not have reached through sound or image alone.
Beat making without a sample library
Eidolon Compose uses synthesized voices instead of bundled samples. That keeps the instrument compact and lets each pattern respond directly to the same analysis field that drives the visuals. Generate a seeded idea, mutate it, simplify it, intensify it, or edit every step yourself. Locked tracks and steps remain protected while transformation tools work around them.
Projects recover automatically in the browser and can be saved locally in IndexedDB. Portable .eidolonbeat files let you move an editable project between compatible browsers. Mix and stem rendering follow the arrangement, while Type 1 MIDI export gives you a route into a larger production workflow.
Designed around creative privacy
Your source media, analyzed frames, recordings, saved Visions, and beat projects stay in your browser. Eidolon does not upload the creative source in order to generate its response. Optional aggregate analytics are consent-aware and are designed to measure product use without collecting media names or media content.
This browser-first architecture is both a privacy choice and a creative choice. You can experiment with unfinished material, personal recordings, private rehearsals, or visual references without first publishing them to a remote service. Browser support varies for recording formats, MIDI, camera, and system audio, so Eidolon explains unavailable capabilities instead of pretending every device behaves the same way.
Accessibility and control
The studio includes keyboard navigation, visible focus, reduced-motion support, a sensory-safe mode, high contrast, adaptive rendering, and narrow-screen layouts. Performance mode can remove interface chrome when the visual field needs the entire screen. These controls are not secondary decoration; they are part of making a responsive audiovisual instrument usable across different bodies, devices, and environments.
